Average Joes Entertainment, an Atlanta and Nashville-based record label, launched with flagship artist Colt Ford in late 2008.  In less than three years, the label has released four Colt Ford titles: Ride Through The Country, Country Is As Country Does (EP/DVD), Live From Suwannee River Jam, Chicken And Biscuits and Every Chance I Get. His two most recent releases have both debuted in the Top 10 on the   Billboard Country Music chart. Ford has sold over 1,000,000 downloads, 500,000 Cd's,  600,000 concert tickets and been nominated for both for ACM and CMA awards.

Following in Colt Ford's footsteps country newcomer, Brantley Gilbert, has had massive success with the Average Joe's marketing machine. Along with the success of his two album releases , A Modern Day Prodigal Son and Halfway To Heaven, Gilbert has also shared the success of another Georgia native, Jason Aldean writing the hit singles “My Kind of Party,” and "Dirt Road Anthem" with Ford.

In 2011 Average Joe's has grown into a power house indie label with a roster that now includes former "major label" artists like Montgomery-Gentry, Ira Dean and Josh Gracin as well as major "indie" artists, Kevin Fowler, Corey Smith, Matt Stillwell Sunny Ledfurd, The LACS, JB and The Moonshine Band, Lauren Briant, Rachel Farley, and Rich O'Toole.

A subsidiary of Average Joes, AVJ Records is the home to: Bizarre (D-12), Rehab, Lindsay Hager, Anamul House, and Nappy Roots.
